Testimonies

”Let the children come to me…’ (Matt 19:14). We believe that coming to God starts with reading His Word. By subsidizing the cost of Bibles—bringing the price down from GHS 35.00 to just GHS 15.00—we’ve seen a beautiful spark of interest in our families. The parents are grateful, the children are reading, and now the call for Twi versions is growing. To God be the glory!”

Ps. Emmanuel Donkor

Church of Pentecost, Sefwi Achiase, Ghana

”I was gifted an NIV Bible, but because my guardians did not share my faith, I had to be very careful. Eventually, I was caught reading it. I was terrified; I thought my life as I knew it was over. …

They seized my Bible, and for a month, I felt a deep void not being able to read God’s Word. Then, the unexpected happened. My guardians called me one morning, not to scold me, but to talk about the book. They had realized that the NIV translation uses such clear and excellent English. Instead of banning it, they asked me to get five more copies so the whole family could improve their English while reading! To the glory of God, those five NIV Bibles are now the center of our home. We use them every day for our family devotion. My guardians’ faith has been strengthened, and I no longer have to hide. I have full fellowship with God through a Bible my family now treasures for its clarity and its message.”

Paa Kwesi, Children Ministry, Church Pentecost, Sefwi Achiase
